SAD GIRL NIGHT FT:
ERIN JARVIS, PHÖENIX LAZARE, KATIE RUVANE
Sunday, October 21, 2018
Erin Jarvis Music - https://erinjarvismusic.com/welcome
Erin just released a new single "Crazy," with which she delivers an unnerving and direct perspective much to the likes of similar artists Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert. This alternative country performance highlights a sweet vocal paired with satirical lyrics, which together exposes a spirit that cannot be contained. The California native is a new resident of Nashville, but was drawn to this city due to her southern rock and country influences.
Phöenix Lazare - http://www.phoenixlazare.com/
Canadian singer/songwriter Phöenix Lazare is an artist true to her roots, unveiling a vulnerably authentic self. Embedded within compelling vocal melodies and warm guitar are the reflections of those who came before her: those who taught her to follow inspiration where it leads. This fearlessness is found in Phöenix’s lyrics – no topic is off limits. With songs reflecting devotion, defeat and touching on social affairs, she tells bittersweet stories. She released three singles in 2017 and her most recent, "Defeat" in early 2018, presenting a diverse collection of tracks that compliment her thoughtful lyrics. Envisioning a "warm blanket of sound," velvet layers create an intimacy that embodies sitting around a fire.
Katie Ruvane Music - https://katieruvanemusic.com/
Katie Ruvane is an indie singer-songwriter originally from small town, NJ. Ruvane has been bringing sultry soul to Nashville’s songwriter scene since she moved there four years ago at 18 years old. With a voice like honey and words wise beyond her years, this up-and-comer has music fanatics and industry folks alike falling back in love with stories. Part I. of her debut album The Lines premiered on Billboard on September 25th, which praised Ruvane’s “soulful folk balladry” as “versatile and elegant”. The EP released on all digital platforms two days later on September 27th, and is now available to download and stream everywhere. Ruvane is currently planning the release of Part II. and Part III. of the full-length album for this October and November. Details to follow.
and your host Elisabeth Beckwitt
Elisabeth Beckwitt writes songs of hope and understanding for the unheard. From her struggles with addiction and mental health, to her unapologetic support and involvement in the LGBT+ community, Elisabeth weaves relatable stories with encapsulating melodies to build an intimate connection with her audience. It is her hope that by being open about her struggles and her identity she can help to erase the stigma that is oftentimes associated with the communities that are so ingrained in her heart. Fresh off the release of her latest EP “Gray Again,” Elisabeth premiered a series of live performance videos called the "Static Sessions" which included some of her favorite #SadGirlMusic.
