Calling All Artivists! Mural Block Party

Access your inner #artivist and join us for WE ARE SEEDS – Mural Painting Block Party on September 22, a joint effort by BriteHeart, Southern Women for Civil Rights and The Deane Foundation to engage, connect, empower positive change through collaborative arts-driven community building and civic participation.

Center 615 has generously donated a 1,925 square foot wall behind their facility directly facing the Parkway Terrace Housing Community and together, we will transform it into a permanent art piece during a day of a day of painting, song, dance, food, refreshments, games and new friends.

Our artist team, led by Nashville artivists Caitlin Mello, Elisheba Israel Mrozik and NORF, is working with the Parkway Terrace community as they design a mural that would inspire and uplift their everyday space. While the mural is the centerpiece of this project, our main motivation is to bring together communities from all over Nashville in face-to-face interaction and celebration of our civic identity as a beautifully diverse city with a myriad of cultural riches to explore and share.
