Tuesday, August 21, 2018 - Doors 5:30 pm - Workshop 6 - 7:30 pm
Facebook and Snapchat and Instagram, oh my! Networking, viral videos, and songwriting…my live show and my new EP, who has time!?! But wait! I need a manager, an agent, a lawyer…and a stylist, a photographer, and a band! How the hell am I going to get all this done and still pull enough bartending shifts to pay my freakin’ rent!?!
Too much to do and not enough time to do any of it effectively? You’re not alone. Join manager and Belmont University adjunct professor Jeff Lysyczyn for a discussion on setting goals and narrowing your focus toward achieving your short-term and long-term career goals.
Jeff Lysyczyn has worked in the Nashville music industry since the early 90’s. His career began in the mailroom at Warner Bros. Records, where he ultimately worked in the A&R Department. He has produced #1 records, been a staff songwriter, worked as a publicist and independent marketing consultant.
He has been an artist manager for the past two decades, working to reinvigorate the careers of several Grammy-winning veteran artists and developing the careers of dozens of emerging artists. He has secured recording contracts for his clients with labels including Sony, Big Machine, Rounder Records, Curb Records, eOne, and several others.
In addition to his work as a manager, Lysyczyn is an adjunct professor at the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University.
